Accessibility: Website remediation plan
(work in progress)

1. Executive Summary

This report outlines the findings and remediation plan for the accessibility of Allianz Partners’ corporate, B2C, and B2B2C websites and apps. Our goal is to achieve WCAG 2.2 AA compliance, align with the European Accessibility Act, and ensure inclusive digital experiences for all users.

The purpose of publishing this report and the associated three-year remediation plan is as follows: we have successfully achieved an accessibility compliance rate of 91.3% on our Allianz Partners Global Corporate website ( International group corporate website) and 86.2% on our B2C EU websites*. Having completed the critical phase of identifying key accessibility issues and implementing adjustments on these primary websites, we now intend to outline our strategy to:

  • First, extend comparable accessibility standards across our European websites as the main priority;
  • Second, achieve full accessibility compliance (100%) across all Allianz Partners websites by the end of 2027.

Some Specific local websites

We wish to clarify that Allianz Partners operates several specific local websites which are not included within the groups referenced above. These local websites are managed by our respective regional teams and are maintained in accordance with the accessibility guidelines and standards provided by Allianz Partners.
Should you identify any accessibility issues or barriers on any of these local websites, we kindly request that you inform us promptly so that we may investigate and address the matter in a timely manner.

3. Audit Review

To be able to be compliant with the required websites accessibility directive, Allianz Partners proceeded with the following:

Step 1: we focused on the scope of the websites that are mostly presented to the wide audience: Corporate and B2C websites;

Step 2: we have identified the master websites (Corporate Global website and European B2C website) to serve as a starting point in our accessibility project;

Step 3: we identified that Corporate and B2C websites are part of the same technical content management system, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), hence the changes that might be done on the master websites will be automatically applicable to the rest of the websites under the same template. On top of that, Allianz Partners Corporate and B2C websites inherit all the technical changes that Allianz Group is doing on their websites having the same template. The reason why it is important to know is because there might be either technical simplification to achieve accessibility or the opposite technical constrains that come from the Allianz Group, who is the owner of this template;

Step 4: we gathered the legal accessibility requirements across the countries in scope. These legal requirements may vary from one country to another. Most of them respond to WCAG 2.0 level AA or lower. These legal requirements have been shared with respective countries that fall under Allianz Partners websites scope.

Step 5: we proceeded with the gap analysis to identify the areas that are not accessible with WCAG 2.0 level AA (as a highest accessibility reference), by leveraging the external suppliers. The gap analysis has been performed for Global Corporate website and European B2C websites.

For the Global Corporate Website, the gap analysis and audit has been performed by Accessi+.

For the B2C the audit was conducted using the SiteImprove tool, our internal accessibility tool, and manual testing.

For the full gap analysis report, please reach out to cc@allianz. to have the access.

Step 6: as a result of the gap analyses performed, we proceeded with adjustments of our Global Corporate website and EU B2C website and achieved the following results:
- https://www.allianz-partners.com/en_global.html - is partially accessible (91.3%). The full statement you may find here: Accessibility
- The B2C websites - partially accessible (86,2%). The full statement you may find in the footer of each EU B2C website.

As mentioned above, since AzP Corporate and B2C websites are part of the same technical template, the rest of the European, APAC and Americas corporate and B2C websites are currently migrating the results as stated above and soon will be accessible in the same way. This will be detailed in the following chapter as part of the remediation plan.

Parallel Step: B2B2C websites (Travel, Mobility and Assistance, Health).

As for the B2B2C websites (Travel, Mobility and Assistance), since the websites are set up on another technical template and sometimes are part of our b-partners interface, we are currently doing our best to achieve accessibility status as well.

Following has been done: the team is currently divided to take care a) of the B2B2C websites and white labels and b) of policy agreement and other legal documents (PDF format) that are developed by AzP but presented on b-partner websites.

Currently we are focusing only on the B2B2C scope under European area, with focus on French, Dutch and German regions.

As for the Health website https://www.allianzcare-corporate.com/en.html, we are dedicated to ensuring full accessibility compliance for our website. As of June 25th, we have made substantial progress in ensuring our website is fully accessible. We are on track to resolve all "critical" and "serious" issues by June 28th, demonstrating our commitment to inclusivity.

Our initial audit: Accessibility Statement

Most common violations:
- Ensure the order of headings is semantically correct
- Ensure headings have discernible text
- Ensure the contrast between foreground and background colors meets WCAG 2 AA minimum contrast ratio thresholds
- Ensure elements that have scrollable content are accessible by keyboard

Our aim is to have most of the above violations resolved by end of July 2025 and achieve 100% accessibility status by end of 2027. However, this will depend also on the technical constrains that we currently have on AEM platform that is outside of Allianz Partners scope.

 Next Steps:
- We will continue to identify new issues through ongoing audits and prioritize their resolution.
- An external vendor conducts an annual accessibility analysis, available on our Accessibility Statement page, which is reassessed and updated with fixes every September. Our current status is "Partially compliant," with most issues being addressed.
- We utilize Lighthouse to verify the accessibility score of our pages prior to publication, addressing any identified issues before publishing.

Parallel Step: Allyz

- The accessibility status of each digital asset has been assessed and documented, with remediation plans in place to address identified issues.
- An official feedback channel has been established via the dedicated email address accessibility@freshdesk.allyz.com; customer care responsibilities are managed by the Global Service Desk (GSD), and a high-level process has been implemented to ensure timely and appropriate responses.
- Accessibility statements and conformity reports will be published and publicly available for all Allyz business verticals (with the exception of Allyz Assist) by June 28, 2025. It should be noted that the current level of detail and presentation format of these statements is still under review to meet Allianz Partners’ quality and compliance standards.

4. Remediation Plan

Corporate websites

Our goal is to achieve 100% accessibility percentage by the end of 2027.

To do so we will proceed with the following:

European Scope
- Taking the gap analysis of Global Corporate website and its accessibility achievement of 91.3%, we will apply the same principles to the European websites (x20, incl UK and La Reunion)_by end of July 2025.
- Once these principles are applied to the remaining x20 European websites, incl UK and La Reunion, we will proceed with a technical accessibility check via Site Improve tool to make sure that the accessibility result is matching at least 91.3%_ by end of July 2025.
- Once we cross-check it with the Site Improve tool, our local legal teams will cross-check that these websites correspond to the legal requirements set up particularly in this country and our technical team will adjust the technical changes, if needed. We want to make sure that all our changes are in line with accessibility requirements of each country_ by end of July 2025.

Americas and APAC scope
- Taking the gap analysis of Global Corporate website and its accessibility achievement of 91.3%, we will apply the same principles to the Americas and APAC websites_by November 2025.
- Once these principles are applied to Americas and APAC websites, we will proceed with a technical accessibility check to make sure that the accessibility result is matching at least 91.3%_ by November 2025.
- Our local legal teams will cross-check that these websites correspond to the legal requirements set up particularly in this country and our technical team will adjust the technical changes, if needed. We want to make sure that all our changes are in line with accessibility requirements of each country_ by January 2026.

As of Q2 2026, we hope that Allianz Group will fix technical constrains in the existing website template that are currently preventing us from achieving 100% of accessibility, and we will be able to push our accessibility status further on Corporate websites to achieve 100% score.

We commit to update this remediation plan by Q2 2026 with further updates on this topic to make sure that by 2027 we are 100% accessible.

B2C websites

Our goal is to achieve 100% accessibility percentage by the end of 2027. To do so we will proceed with the following:

Adobe Experience Manager CMS Scope (Europe, Americas and APAC)

We have identified several accessibility and usability issues across content, design, and development areas, including ARIA attribute errors, insufficient color contrast, missing text alternatives, and interactive element sizing. To address these, we will focus on improving labelling, enhancing visual clarity, ensuring keyboard accessibility, and correcting semantic markup. Our next steps involve prioritizing these fixes within our development and content teams, with an estimated completion target of 2027 to ensure full compliance and an inclusive user experience.

Sales Flow Scope (Europe, Americas and APAC)

Several accessibility and usability issues have been identified, including keyboard navigation challenges, missing labels and headings, insufficient color contrast, and improper ARIA usage. To address these, we will focus on improving keyboard accessibility, ensuring proper semantic structure, enhancing visual clarity, and correcting ARIA implementations. Our development and content teams will prioritize these fixes with a target completion in 2027, aiming to deliver a fully accessible and user-friendly experience.

As of Q2 2026, we hope that Allianz Group will fix technical constrains in the existing website template that are currently preventing us from achieving 100% of accessibility, and we will be able to push our accessibility status on all B2C websites further to achieve 100% score.

We commit to update this remediation plan by Q2 2026 with further updates on this topic to make sure that by 2027 we are 100% accessible.

B2B2C websites

HEALTH B2B2C

Allianz Care - https://www.allianzcare-corporate.com/en.html,

Our goal is to achieve 100% website accessibility percentage by the end of 2027.

To do so we will proceed with the following:
- Proceed with additional annual accessibility review in September 2025 by an external provider.
- Based on the report issued, we will adjust the remaining violations to make sure we push our accessibility % further.
- Our goal is to achieve 100% accessibility status by end of 2027. However, this will depend also on the technical constrains that we currently have on AEM platform that is outside of Allianz Partners scope

Other Health websites such as below will start the project as of June 2025. We will make sure that the gap analysis are performed by external providers, technical adjustments are done following the gap analysis results and accessibility statements are issued on these websites.

TRAVEL B2B2C

Our goal is to achieve 100% websites accessibility percentage by the end of 2027.

To do so, we are currently performing the following:

European scope:

As mentioned above, this project is split in 2 areas:

- B2B2C websites and white labels
- policy agreement and other legal documents (PDF format) that are developed by AzP but presented on b-partner websites

As for the legal documentation, we are currently identifying the exact scope of work. So far, we calculated approximately 8000 products, thus documents, that we need to make accessible in accordance with the European standards (disclaimer: every European country has different specifics in regards to the PDF treatments, thus some countries such as Germany may not need this exercise).

As for the Travel B2B2C websites, we are currently proceeding with a gap analysis of the existing websites to identify the elements to be compliant with the accessibility act. The gap analysis to be finished by July 2025 and we commit to proceed with according updates on the existing travel B2B2C websites to achieve accessibility status at least of 86% by end of 2025. As of Q1 2026, we want to make sure that we keep on improving the accessibility status to achieve 100% by 2027.

Americas and APAC scope:

Similar approach to take in Americas and APAC scope as well. The team will be split for websites and pdf documents (policies) treatment. The gap analysis will be performed on the master websites, and as a result, following the gap analysis performed in these regions as well as taking into account the results of the European gap analysis, we will proceed with the according technical updates on the existing Americas and APAC websites to achieve the accessibility score of 100% by 2027. Also, we will make sure when performing technical updates to follow the legal requirements of each country.

MOBILITY & ASSISTANCE

Our goal is to achieve 100% websites accessibility percentage by the end of 2027.

European scope:

As mentioned above, this project is split in 2 areas:

- B2B2C websites and white labels
- policy agreement and other legal documents (PDF format) that are developed by AzP but presented on b-partner websites

As for the legal documentation, we are currently identifying the exact scope of work based on the urgencies (i.e. French and Dutch legal documents are in the priority of being accessible). The rest of the scope is based on the exact legal requirements of a country.

As for the Mobility & Assistance B2B2C websites, we are currently proceeding with a gap analysis of the existing websites to identify the elements to be compliant with the accessibility act.

Allyz websites

Our objective is to achieve full accessibility compliance (100%) across all Allyz  websites and applications by the end of 2027.

As an initial milestone, we commit to implementing further accessibility enhancements and updating our conformity reports by the end of July 2025. These updates will provide a more comprehensive level of detail regarding identified issues, documented workarounds, and corrective actions taken, as well as an improved, professional presentation of the reports. Concurrently, we will reissue the accessibility status for each digital asset, clearly indicating the current level of compliance achieved.

Specifically, for Allyz Assist, we plan to publish a detailed conformity report by mid-July 2025. This report will outline identified accessibility issues, planned remediation steps, and will include an updated accessibility status accompanied by a quantified accessibility percentage.

To support ongoing accessibility efforts, the dedicated feedback mailbox accessibility@freshdesk.allyz.com will be continuously staffed and enhanced with an expanding FAQ resource. This initiative aims to facilitate timely and effective responses, enabling quicker resolutions of accessibility-related inquiries and issues.

5. Governance and Documentation
