24 September 2025
On Tuesday 23 September 2025 Typhoon Ragasa impacted Hong Kong, causing significant disruptions and damage. The typhoon brought heavy rainfall, strong winds, and flooding to various parts of the city. As a result, transportation services, including flights and public transit, experienced delays and cancellations. Many businesses and schools were temporarily closed, and emergency services were actively engaged in recovery efforts.
Travelers are advised to exercise caution and stay updated on local news and weather reports. It's important to check with airlines and transportation providers for the latest information on schedules and any potential disruptions. Additionally, travellers should be aware of potential hazards such as flooding and debris in affected areas and follow any guidance or instructions from local authorities.
As a general guide, we suggest that impacted travellers review their relevant travel insurance Product Disclosure Statement or Credit Card Complimentary Insurance Policy Information Booklet regarding cancellation, travel delay, and additional travel expenses, as these will provide information around the cover under the policy.
Our products provide a number of benefits, terms, conditions, exclusions, limits, and applicable sub-limits that may be relevant to your travel plans.
