Maik Keppel appointed new Managing Director of Allianz Partners Austria

Vienna, January 20th, 2026 

Allianz Partners is pleased to announce that Maik Keppel was appointed Managing Director of Allianz Partners Austria on January 1st, 2026. He succeeds Silke Zettl, who has taken on a global management position within the Allianz Partners Group in the area of sales compliance since the beginning of the year.

With over 15 years of experience in diverse management roles within the Allianz Group, most recently within the sales segment of Allianz Partners, Keppel brings a wealth of expertise, a distinguished track record and a clear vision to guide Allianz Partners Austria towards continued success.

Beginning his career with Allianz in 2011, Keppel has since gained expertise in claims management, sales management, implementation of digital solutions, and strategic concept development. Previously, he held several management positions at Allianz Beratungs- und Vertriebs-AG, where he was jointly responsible for sales development, management, and the expansion of partnerships with insurance agencies. 

In 2021, Keppel joined Allianz Partners as Sales Director for the assistance and travel insurance business in the insurance segment for the German market. Since 2024, he has served as Chief of Staff for the Chief Markets Officer of the Allianz Partners Group, Jacob Fuest. During this time, he was instrumental in developing the digital growth strategy of Allianz Partners.
